My journey on the court

Basketball started off as a fun workout to burn off my access energy. Now it has taken me much farther than that, but I still have along way to go.

I am beyond greatfull to be given opportunity to play at a high level of basketball while getting an education I never extecpted. I work hard everyday to always reach the next level. Whether it be a getting higher efficiency on the court or finishing a project for school, I work to achieve more. 

My journey began at 10 years old playing basketball at the YMCA where my mom worked. After every game my parents would have to drag me off the court. My dad said I could easily spend an hour listening the ball go through the net from a swish.

From there I began playing AAU basketball. I continued working on my game with my current AAU coach, JT of Synergy Basketball, competing in tournemants and being invited to top 100 camps. 

My AAU coach trained Terance Mann when he was a teenager.  Later JT began running the Terance Mann Complete Player Program.  That is where I was introduced to Mark Cheong of Inspring Young Minds (IYM). IYM introduced my family into the world of private education and we knew it was an amazing opportunity. I started the next chapter of my journey at the Fay School as an 8th grader. It was an amazing year, we finished the season with 15 wins and 3 loses. I am looking forward to another great year continuing to grow as a player and student.

Ultimatly, my goal is to play D1 basketball, play professionally and get an education I never imagined possible.

As a point guard, I set the tone for my team. I try to stay calm and composed, especially when the pressure is on, because I know my teammates feed off my energy.

I love being in a position where I can make plays for the players around me. I take pride in creating opportunities for my teammates, making the right read, finding the open player, and putting them in positions where they can be successful. At the same time, I know I need to be ready to score when my team needs me.
